About The Role
Location: Ashford, Kent

Days & Hours: 4 hours per week to be worked in accordance with the rota typically at the weekend. This will increase in the school holidays.
Pay: £13.50 per hour Monday to Sunday.
Driver required? Essential
Driving Clients Car? No
Using Own Vehicle for work purposes? Yes, on duty and to attend training. Must have business insurance.
Essential Experience: Experience/understanding of needs related to autism, learning difficulties, ADHD, speech and language delay and hearing difficulties.

Desirable: Experienceof working with children with special needs (This is preferred but enthusiasm,patience and willingness to learn is essential).

Pets: The family have 1 dog

Interviews Week Commencing: 7th October

We are seeking a patient, caring and alert carer to support Aaron, who is 12 years old he is a lovely boy who has complex needs. He has Autism, learning difficulties, ADHD speech and language delay and is independently mobile. Aaron lives in his family home in Ashford, with his parents and their dog.
Your role will be to support Aaron to access, participate and enjoy home, educational therapeutic and leisure activities both inside and outside of the home. You will be required to accompany him during activities and enable him to participate as fully as possible. This may require you to provide physical assistance, verbal prompting and or the use of strategies to manage behavioural considerations.

Aaron enjoys trips out in the car, trains, swimming, music and board games. He loves when adults interact with him and include him in activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated person to join his current home care team. You will develop existing skills and apply specific skills to enable you to support Aaron.

There is the opportunity of increased hours during the school holidays and when cover is required for other carers.

Pay and Benefits:

£13.50 per hour Monday to Sunday

On-going training & support provided

Free DBS check.

In order to promote continuity of our high care standards, you will be offered:

  • A full driving licence (endorsements to be disclosed)

Satisfactory references & proof of eligibility to work in the UK required.
