About the Role

The Trainer is responsible for the coordination of online courses and delivery of a range of courses, informed face to face training, side by side and group sessions for operational staff working with children and young people in the early stages of their careers and on an ongoing basis.

The successful candidate will have

• Experience of delivering training and a demonstrated good standard of training and facilitation skills
• Knowledge of the childcare sector and especially the background and experiences of children in care and young people leaving care or at risk
• Preferably have experience of direct work with children and young people, in residential and/or fostering settings
• Excellent communication abilities, critical technique and evaluation skills
• Creative and ability to use initiative and improvise
• Good organisational and coordination skills
• Ability to promote team work, and network across teams and across different levels to achieve shared goals
• Excellent admin and IT skills with ability to use data systems, excel, and PowerPoint
• Preferably educated to degree level in a relevant subject(s)
