Franklite Limited, established in 1973 is a leading manufacturer and distributor of lighting in the UK and international markets. The Company's Headquarters and manufacturing facilities are located in Milton Keynes.

We are looking for an experienced IT Technician to join our team. The IT Technician will be working whilst working closely with the Operations Manager and Director. The successful candidate will assist as part of the team in the day to day running of our IT systems. You will always be looking for ways to improve current set ups and processes to support the users both office based and remotely.

The ideal candidate for role of IT Technician will have:
  • A proven track record of IT
  • Experience in making requirements reality with a great eye for detail
  • A keen desire to help and improve in all areas of technology and IT security compliance
  • A friendly, outgoing personality with a strong desire to integrate into an established team and environment
  • The ability to use 2nd/3rd line level knowledge for problem solving

Core responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have expert knowledge of these technologies, but not limited to:
  • Licensing compliance
  • Ensuring updates are applied where applicable
  • Giving training on new entities and to new employees
  • Ensuring data integrity
  • Scribe
  • Exchange 2013
  • Office 365
  • Server 2016/2012r2/2008r2
  • Hyper V environments
  • Veeam
  • AutoCAD and Vault
  • Mobile and fixed phone systems
  • VPN
  • Cisco Firewalls
  • Switches/Routing/DNS/DHCP
  • SAN management and maintenance
  • Warehouse Management system (WMS) and integration with a Customer Relationship Management System (CRM)
  • Ensuring all issues and projects are completed in a timely manor
  • Act as an escalation point for any IT related issues
  • Responsible for all server issues and maintenance
  • Liaising with 3rd party support to promote a mutually beneficial relationship in regards to technology and support
  • Sophos anti-virus/Pure Message maintenance
  • Dynamics CRM365 on premise (desirable but not essential)

  • Managing license renewals for all software/SA
  • Good experience of Microsoft Dynamics CRM essential including creating & amending workflows
  • Tailoring layouts/forms/scripts to suit business needs
  • Able to understand database queries and scripts (SQL) desirable
  • Able to assist in the creation of sequel reports from databases

The candidate for IT Technician must be able to multi task and have excellent spoken and written English skills.
