Web Developer, Cardiff, £25,000-£30,000

My client, a prestigious organisation based just outside of Cardiff is looking to recruit a Web Developer into their Software Development team. You will likely have a few years of front-end development experience (HTML, CSS, Javascript) and have a passion for improving customer journey and implementing UX/UI improvements. You will benefit from extensive training and development opportunities and will work within a close-knit team who strive for collective excellence.

This is what you'll be doing

·Managing front-end site updates and ensure integrity of the current site content.

·Creating and managing new static site content.

·Focusing on the delivery of site-wide UX improvements through standardised HTML 5 mark-up, CSS written to industry standards.

·Liaising closely with the creative team and provide support to both UX and visual design.

·Working with the wider team that delivers all on-site campaign activity including the provision of editorial content that supports our ecommerce channel, through to the development of bespoke digital experiences that enhance campaign activity.

·Helping to produce, modify and maintain our websites.

·Working on projects from solution definition, estimation, through to implementation and testing.

·Ensuring a unified and shared code-base for all front-end development. Helping to form a coding standard for all online projects.

The experience you'll bring to the team

·You will have front-end web development skills combined with commercial experience.

·You will have strong handwritten HTML 5 & CSS 3.0 skills and experience.

·You will have strong working knowledge of Javascript and Javascript Libraries (Including JQuery and working with 3rd party APIs) skills.

·You will be experienced in developing responsive websites.

·You will have strong working knowledge of front-end technology.

·You will have experience with shared code bases (E.g. bit bucket, subversion and Git).

·You will also have experience with third-party web services and A/B & MVT Testing.
