Our Client, a global manufacturer supplying to the mining and related industries now has an excellent opportunity for a Systems Support Technician to join their business in Lancashire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate calibre candidate who also has had some time in industry to develop their career in a truly global business.

Duties:

·Monitoring and reporting - equipment health and processes supporting the monitoring centre activities

·Provide support for on line communications hardware and software.

·Provide support for equipment automation hardware and software

·Uphold underground safety standards at all times.

·Disseminate information within the organization.

·Reports generated and discussed with customers internal & external as required

·Machine support - provide advice , technical information & training on operation and fault finding of underground equipment

·Systems support - provide advice and technical training & support of advanced underground mining systems

·Interface with customers both internal and external - including the use of case management tool

·Assist with developing rules for predictive diagnostics software based on systems and equipment

·Provide knowledge transfer & support to field service engineering for issues resolution

·Provide assistance & support in the compiling of technical proposals, procedures and documentation relative to the service group

·Maintain accurate database entries and records within the global CRM tool and other business systems

·Observation of equipment & systems operation to ensure optimised performance.- Suggesting necessary improvements.

·Act as liaison between Service organisation and technical departments ( Engineering ,C&A and Training )

·Reduces contract liability exposure through provision of knowledge transfer and support

·Counsels customer in maintenance/operation of equipment.#

This position requires a minimum of an Degree/HND in a related field or suitable recognized apprenticeship with a minimum 2-3 years of equipment progressive practical experience in machine rebuilds or diagnostics. The successful candidate will understand mining systems and their application, have strong electrical skills. The ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic and electrical schematics is necessary.
