Accounts Assistant

A small, growing accountancy firm based in Plymouth is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant or Semi-Senior. You will enjoy being part of a small team, working with the Partner to offer excellent customer service to clients.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include;

Assisting with the management of a portfolio of clients whilst being responsible for completing:
  • Year-end and monthly accounts preparation
  • Preparation of personal and corporate taxreturns
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Bookkeeping
  • Preparation of CIS returns
  • Payroll processing
  • Statutory record keeping
  • Attending client meetings and dealing with queries

Key Skills & Experience:

You will have recent accountancy practice experience. You will be AAT part or fully qualified, or already studying towards ACA or ACCA. Ideally with a background or experience in bookkeeping. Experience using Xero,Quickbooks Online, Clearbooks, Free Agent and Sage would be advantageous, but not essential.

They provide a range of accountancy and taxation services primarily to businesses in Devon and Cornwall however are willing to go further afield to service the UK. They even have clients in Europe. Their services include bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, sole trade, partnership and limited company accounts as well as individual and company tax returns all at competitive prices.
