SQL Server Database Administrator

Nottingham City Centre

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a SQL DBA to join their team based in Nottingham City Centre.This is a sole DBA role offering a high level of responsibility, particularly with regard to architectural decisions.You will need to have the following skills:

·SQL Server 2008 - 2016

·MS Azure Cloud SQL Database

·Experience of working with large complex SQL data sets

·Sql Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

·Data migration

·Data Warehousing

·Database architecture design & development

·Stored procedures


Initially your main goals will be as follows:

·Develop a new cloud-based database

·Improve data structures to enable the business to better access and analyse their data

Going forward, there will be more of a focus on business intelligence and you will have the opportunity to work with products such as SSIS and SSAS - no previous experience of these is required.

About you

You will be an experienced SQL DBA who is confident in your technical ability and looking for a high profile role in a thriving business.You will be someone who takes pride in your work, thriving to meet the existing standards operated throughout the IT team ultimately being willing and able to take responsibility for the availability, performance, and reliability of all database services within the business IT systems, including production, UAT, Business reporting environments.
