Real-time Information Systems
Within our Centre of Excellence in Aberdeen we design, build and deploy Real-time Information Systems and Solutions and support our clients' systems for the long term through on-going development and maintenance.

Key aspects of the RtIS business are:

·Consulting with clients to determine how to use Real-time Information Systems to deliver business benefits.

·Designing, building and deploying solutions using Real-time Information Systems.

·Supporting and providing long term development and maintenance of clients' systems.

·Working in-house and on client sites to deliver the above services.
Key Responsibilities
Position/Job Title:Principal Systems Engineer
Reporting To:Principal Systems Engineer

Key Position Objectives:

·Undertake a wide range of tasks related to the design, implementation and delivery of Real-time Information Systems solutions, principally in the Oil & Gas industry and other industries.

Key Aspects of the Role

·Actively develop Servelec's offering as technology advances and clients' expectations become more demanding;

·Work with clients to identify solutions appropriate to them;

·Represent Servelec at national and international events and conferences

·Produce Strategy Documents, Requirements Specifications and Design Specifications;

·Develop Test Strategies and produce Test Specifications;

·Design and develop applications as part of Real-time Information Systems;

·Give clear, effective presentations to customers on status of their work;

·Investigate and resolve problems with Real-time Information Systems;

·Operate in accordance with Company policies and procedures;

·Lead a team, developing others through mentoring.
Key Personal Attributes
Qualifications/Experience:

·degree in a computing related subject;

·proficient in Microsoft Office products;

·sound grasp of IT methodologies and of related governance issues;

·sound grasp of IT Networking technologies

·sound grasp of database technologies

·significant experience in the implementation of Windows Server technologies;

·significant experience in the implementation of OSIsoft technologies, preferably including development experience using the OSIsoft development technologies;

·experience with software development technologies, methods and processes;

·experience with several of the following technologies desirable: VBA, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Javascript JSON, Angular, Azure, AWS.

·good knowledge and relevant industries;

·it would also be advantageous to have experience in our other partner products from j5 International and Seeq.
