As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.Android is a vibrant mobile ecosystem and mobile apps are a core component of this ecosystem. In this role, you will drive/lead projects that help reduce/stop bad apps presence in the ecosystem. You will work closely with Product Managers, UX team, Software Engineers and Engineering Leads to plan, execute, launch and land projects to continuously improve the security profile of the Android Ecosystem.Google is and always will be an engineering company. Responsibilities Manage relationships and communication with external teams to ensure successful testing and release of Platform features and enhancements.Create a structure for handling app compatibility issues produced by Platform changes and execute against this structure, with first- and third-party developers.Establish internal metrics with Product Analysts on data quality rationalization and establish relationships with Android community to coordinate launches.Drive quarterly and annual release planning.Introduce agile planning and development and monitor/report on progress and set the pace for velocity. Standardize the release process. Qualifications Minimum qualifications:Program management experience in an engineering environment.Experience with programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) or OS development.Experience in information security or privacy.Preferred qualifications:Experience in process management, prioritization and multitasking.Knowledge of source code management (Git, SVN, Perforce) and Linux systems.Ability to work in an Android development environment.Ability to ship large scale or open-source software.
