Would you like to join a successful and expanding IT Support Provider based in Taunton? They operate a professional culture, are passionate about continuous improvement and encourage a great work/ life balance, to promote a positive working environment.

They are looking for an experienced Senior IT Technical Support Analyst to join them on a full time, basis. Salary is dependent on experience but between £23,000-£28,000.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and technically minded person to join as a senior member of the team, providing support and guidance for the 1st line engineers and to be the focal point for complex technical escalations.

This is a varied role, where alongside the challenge of the service desk, there will the opportunity to lead a variety of interesting project implementations. Regular travelling to key clients across the UK, is also an integral part of this role.

The main duties include:

Providing 2nd/3rd line support/ complex technical escalations

Regular UK travel to support key clients

Project implementation

Technical support, guidance and acting as a role model for 1st line support

Firewall administration/ Troubleshooting

The successful candidate:

Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably supporting professional organisations

Computer Science/ IT Degree or equivalent preferable

Ideally Microsoft Certified Professional or certified in Mircrosoft Office 365 management and administration

A friendly personality, with a positive and problem solving outlook

Office 365 Administration

LAN, Wireless Network skills

Backup and Disaster Recovery Technology experience

Virtualisation, Administration and Support (DaaS/ VMWare / Hyper-V)

Active Directory / Group Policy

Experience working within a Managed Service Provider environment and use of ITIL service tools (Remote Monitoring and Management, Helpdesk)

Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills that can adapt to changing priorities

Astute problems solving skills - with the ability to analyse data to reach conclusions

A confident telephone manner and excellent written and verbal communication skills

Well organised and methodical approach to work - most importantly seeing tasks and projects through to completion

Ability to remain calm under pressure during challenging times

Ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships

Exceptional customer service skills including experience of dealing with diverse customer groups

Ability to take a problem outside of their knowledge and aim to resolve or draw on resource to ensure resolution

Full UK Driving License and access your own transport.
