IPS Employment Worker
This is an exciting opportunity for an IPS worker to join our recovery focussed specialist service for People between ages 14-65 experiencing the First Episode of Psychosis. The post looks beyond traditional health based approaches to helping people experiencing symptoms of psychosis and other mental health difficulties into sustainable employment. The successful applicant will aim to offer interventions designed to creatively assist in obtaining and sustaining employment with direct support from a Senior Occupational Therapist in line with current NICE guidelines. This includes * liaison with agencies external to the NHS * direct contact and intervention with employers * developing supportive links within the locality. * Proactively supporting service users throughout their employment * Applications from people with experience with experience in a range of areas demonstrating appropriate transferrable skills are welcomed for this post and a background in healthcare is not essential. * The post will require ability to work independently across the whole of Trafford borough. * The successful applicant will be supported by an experienced and dedicated multi-disciplinary team- consisting of a Consultant Psychiatrist, Social Workers, Community Mental Health Nurses, Psychologists, Psychological Therapist, Occupational Therapists and Support Time and Recovery workers.
