LEARNING SUPPORT CO-ORDINATOR, POST NO: CS0668P

Salary: CSS Scale 7, points 16 - 17 i.e. £26,525 - £27,543 per annum

You will co-ordinate the learning support and CognAssist process for all of the College's apprenticeship provision, ensuring maximum support is provided to apprentices to meet their learning needs and contribute positively to timely learner progress and achievement. You will ensure the participation from relevant staff and learners and improve and maintain engagement in learning support/CognAssist and maximise funding income to provide the support necessary for all apprentices with learning needs. You will maintain close links and ensure good communication with all appropriate departments at the College and be the representative for College with external stakeholders for apprenticeship learning support/CognAssist.

Ideal applicants will hold at least a Level 3 teaching and/or TAQA qualification, or the ability and willingness to obtain this within 2 years (4 years for fractional posts) of commencing employment. A Level 3-6 qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance is also a desirable requirement of this role, or the ability to work towards obtaining a level 6. You will have experience of working with apprentices and the delivery of apprenticeships, including best practice in the use of OneFile.
