This position will offer the opportunity for the successful candidate to work within a dynamic multi-million-pound chemical manufacturer. This company promotes both investment into training and long-term career development, regularly promoting internal candidates to senior level positions. This company is investing a huge part of their budget into Continuous Improvement, with one area of this specifically looking at Engineering Planning and Scheduling.

The successful Planning Engineer will be joining market leading chemical manufacturer operating on an upper-tier COMAH site. This is a leading large-scale chemical company, delivering customers' needs utilising its broad asset and technology base, underpinned by its quality driven project management.

Responsibilities of the Planning Engineer;

Both career and personal development are a pivotal component of this position, allowing individuals to realise their potential, looking at medium-term career paths into more senior level positions with a demonstrated and clear career path.
Ensuring safe working systems and practices are followed, maintaining housekeeping standards, taking responsibility for personal actions and the safety of others. Ensure personal compliance with all procedures which control the major accident hazards.
Encourage efficiencies in scheduled activities and reduce down-time where possible.
Ensuring work is accurately recorded on the CMMS SAP system.
Scheduling electrical or mechanical operations, including maintenance, projects and shutdowns.
To be successful in this position of Planning Engineer candidates will require an Engineering Planning background working within manufacturing, ideally on a chemical manufacturing plant to COMAH regulations. Candidates that have formal qualifications within their specialist field such as a HNC, HND, NVQ or City and Guilds will also be at an advantage.
