Location: Bristol

Salary: c£55,000 plus 15% Bonus

What will you be doing?

The Internal Audit & Risk Manager will be responsible for the development and maintenance of a robust Risk Management Framework, and ensure the effective implementation and embedding of risk management across the business.In this newly created role, this individual will be responsible for the preparation of the Assurance plan and the delivery of assurance activities within the business.

Duties include:
  • Pro-actively identify, investigate and provide solutions to issues that have a significant impact on the group, partnering closely with the business.
  • Identify and promote financial and operational process improvements and standardisation projects across the group
  • Develop, document and continuously improve the company Risk Management Framework
  • Drive and develop Risk Management and Assurance strategy, working with the business to ensure it is value added and risk focussed
  • Build senior stakeholder relationships across all functions, to embed and develop the Risk Management Framework across the organisation and ensure a holistic approach is taken to both risk management and requisite assurance
  • Organise and facilitate risk management workshops across the business, to ensure the appropriate identification and assessment of risks across the business
  • Design, manage and execution of the annual Assurance plan.
  • Report results of reviews and other risk management actions concisely to senior management and the Audit and Risk Assurance Committee
  • Challenge and support the appropriate design of the group's internal control systems, providing the Audit and Risk Assurance Committee and management with the requisite assurance processes, systems and controls are in place and operating effectively.

What we are looking for ...

As well as experience gained within Internal Audit and Risk Management Frameworks within either an in-house or practice function, we need an individual that can demonstrate the following:
  • Qualified ACA, CMIIA, ACCA
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build internal and external stakeholder relationships

·Ability to use technology to drive efficient approach and assurance - a knowledge of SAP and PowerBI would also be an advantage

·Experience within the Water sector or regulated industry would be ideal but not essential
