Aviva is recruiting for a Customer Communications Consultant to join the Corporate Marketing department and assist in the execution of a significant project. This is a fixed-term contract position to end on 31st January 2020.

The Literature Management team is required to amend all existing customer-facing literature for the members of our corporate client pension schemes. This accounts for c.700 items of standard literature (member guides, investment guides and other documents). You will be responsible for managing the delivery of the amended literature within the agreed timescales.

It will be your job to ensure existing bespoke material is reviewed accurately in order to carry a clear and compelling message and stay compliant. It's important that Aviva's marketing literature is written for the consumer and so you will have the chance to build a wide understanding of your customers' information needs and prioritise efforts to ensure that information is effective for the intended audience.
Role and Responsibilities
  • Deliver communication reviews and amendments for literature according to specified phasing and timings.
  • Adhering to the regulatory sign-off process; engaging key colleagues, suppliers and business remit so all materials are compliant, customer- focused and fit for purpose.
  • Provide regular progress reports, ensuring the tracker/log is up-to-date and maintained accurately. Raising any risks or issues to the project lead and other relevant colleagues.
  • Carry out day to day liaison with key partners and business review teams to ensure appropriate legislative and business changes are reflected in final communications. In particular, engage with the wider Literature Management team to ensure they are fully aware of processes, timescales and any issues/challenges etc.
  • Understand the role of each communication and how it fits within the customer journey.
  • Provide technical expertise about the literature review process and use this to support others in the business.
  • Respond to literature-related business queries, providing support and resolutions with particular focus on business critical and regulatory items.
Skills and Experience
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry and/or UK financial services market (particularly pensions, investments and life insurance) would be advantageous.
  • Proven experience in marketing and communications roles with similar responsibilities.
  • Well-organised, able to handle multiple activities and deadlines, and can apply creative thinking to marketing challenges.
  • Understanding of print production, communications development and compliance processes.
  • Strong copywriting, attention to detail and proofreading capabilities.
  • Delivery-focused and able to coordinate delivery with others.
  • Enthusiastic with good verbal communication and relationship building skills.
