The Opportunity - Problem Manager
This is an exciting permanent opportunity for an ITIL qualified and experienced Problem Manager to join an award winning Managed Service Provider based in Berkshire. My client specialised in providing innovative technological solutions to a range of clients in various verticals (Public and Private Sector). This role will suit a dynamic, analytical individual who has experience working for a medium - large organisation and is able to own and implement Problem Management processes.
The Role - Problem Manager
Working closely with the Major Incident Management team, the Problem Manager will be required to analyse and restore P1 and P2 incidents as well as identify trends to develop solutions which will prevent further incidents occurring and impacting service. Duties include:
  • Maintain a log of issues on the system
  • Trend Analysis and Root Cause Analysis
  • Analyse and develop permanent fixes
  • Driving improvement plans / prevention plans
  • Being proactive in identifying issues
  • Working with Problem owners, ensuring that they are updated when relevant
  • Preparing and delivering problem reports
Key Skills / Experience - Problem Manager
  • ITIL qualified (Foundation level as a minimum)
  • Background working for a Managed Service Provider
  • An understanding of network and infrastructure environments
  • Experience of setting up processes and procedures related to Problem Management
  • An analytical and detailed approach with a sharp focus on problem resolutions
  • Experience in working for medium - large organisations
  • Experience working with third party vendors / suppliers
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Passion for excellent customer service
  • Analytical, innovative and proactive

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
