You have the opportunity to apply for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer position for one of the most well-known manufacturers in Yorkshire, that produce high value components and assemblies for a number of industries including Defence, Power Generation and Oil & Gas.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer:
  • Design, Promote and Carry out Preventative Maintenance
  • Fault Finding, testing, and the removal or adjustment of existing fittings, fixtures and parts
  • Overhaul, upkeep and repair of all plant machines including PLC controlled equipment, hydraulics & pneumatics, CNC machines, pumps, gearboxes and valves
  • Where a detailed specification is not provided determine the cause of the fault and then undertake the most cost-effective solution to remedy the defect.
  • Maintaining and managing machine documentation and daily reports.
  • Installation of new machines and equipment

We are keen to hear from Maintenance Engineers who possess the following skills, experience and qualifications:
  • A recognised electrical qualification and an approved mechanical apprenticeship or engineering qualification.
  • Experience working as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Machine Tool Engineer, Fitter, Technician or similar job role.
  • Experience maintaining and repairing various plant and machinery including PLC controlled equipment, CNC machines, hydraulics and pneumatics, pumps, gearboxes and valves.

These positions are both subject to shift working, we have 2 patterns available which are detailed below:

Pattern 1: Rotating Double Days - 37.5 Hours per week (average)
  • AM Shift: 40 Hours per week
    • Monday to Friday 06:30 to 14:30
  • PM Shift: 34 Hours per week
    • Monday to Thursday 14:30 to 22:00
    • Friday: 14:30 to 18:30

Pattern 2: Monday to Friday - Afternoons - 37.5 Hours per week
  • Monday - 13:00 to 22:00
  • Tuesday - 13:00 to 22:00
  • Wednesday - 13:00 to 22:00
  • Thursday - 14:30 to 22:00
  • Friday - 12:30 to 18:30
