As part of the IT Infrastructure team, this role is responsible for the day to day management and support of the company's core IT estate and production environments.

Key objectives
The Key objectives for the role include:

• To support the core IT estate in a manner to ensure maximum business systems availability is maintained.

• To ensure IT core services remain secure, stable and reliable.


• To ensure that, on a day to day basis the IT core systems and services are managed and monitored.

• To provide support to ensure all issues and faults effecting production services are resolved in a timely and professional manner.

• To ensure at all times the production service are maintained in secure and safe environment.

• To provide out of hours support as and when required to ensure systems continuity within the company.

• To ensure that all scheduled maintenance is carried out in a controlled manner limiting the business to any potential downtime risks.

• To proactively manage all problems and outstanding issues, interacting with the relevant call assignees and their line managers to ensure closure

• To ensure all the Backups and DR tasks are tested, documented and are carried out successfully.

• Ensure that critical incidents are recorded and followed up with relevant IT resources and management.

• Monitoring of the IT Datacenter environment and scheduled reports thus insuring all issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner.

• To work with the other IT teams to provide the best level of service possible to the business and its customers.

• To provide accurate information to the end users to ensure all parties are kept up to date as to the progress of outstanding tickets.

• Proactive management of the Core IT Estate


o To adhere to all Department and Company procedures

o To meet agreed deadlines

o Must be able to clearly document project and customer requirements

o Must be able to communicate at various levels within the company

o Must be able to correctly set customer expectations, particularly when under pressure


- Support skills for Microsoft SQL 2014 and higher
- Technical experience supporting Vmware Servers
- Technical experience supporting a Microsoft Server estate
- Technical experience working with Veeam backup and replication.
- Windows Active Directory Management
- Checkpoint Firewalls
- Technical experience supporting Microsoft IIS
- Technical understanding of LAN / WAN technologies
- Technical knowledge of TCP/IP and associated services
- Technical understanding and configuration skills of Wireless technologies such as Access points and Point to Point bridge solutions
- Technical knowledge of VLAN implementations and LAN switch management
- Experience with IP telephony systems such as Avaya IP Office
