Assistant Shop Manager - Hythe

Location: 6a High Street, Hythe

Salary: £6,235 per annum. (14 hours over 2 days per week (shop open Monday - Saturday, with Bank Holiday and Sunday opening as required)

Key responsibilities:

We have a growing network of retail shops across our regions and are looking for an Assistant Shop Manager for our new shop opening soon in Hythe.

Our charity shops provide a great source of income to enable us to provide care for local children and their families. We are looking for an Assistant Shop Manager to help run our shop in Hythe and raise our profile in the area.

Doing all you can to increase income to support the work of the Trust, your responsibilities will include meeting and greeting customers, merchandising, pricing, stock sorting and rotation, banking and staff planning. All our shops aim to offer a pleasant customer experience with a good old fashioned bargain to boot and we expect our Assistant Shop Managers to reflect this in their approach to work.

Working with your Shop Manager and alongside volunteers, it is essential that you have strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate nature. Although not essential, experience in retail would be ideal and a full driving licence would be useful.

The role is part-time 2 days a week with some regular Saturday working (1 in 3 Saturdays) and as required, Bank Holiday and Sunday opening. You will also cover for the Shop Manager's absence (holidays, regular day off, sickness absence) so flexibility over working days will be essential.
