Becoming a Finance Business Partner with Capita Central Government Services

A Finance Business Partner is required to join the Government Service Programme Delivery business.

Reporting to the Finance Director you will also work closely with the Managing Director, Senior Management Team and the offshore team. We require an individual with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to partner with senior stakeholders.

What you will do:
  • To lead, develop, implement, and review finance process across supported business units.
  • Business partner for a GSPD providing financial support and guidance to business unit directors/managers.
  • Work with the business to drive growth and identify new opportunities
  • Facilitate the implementation of new finance system
  • Support and strengthen balance sheet reporting
  • To own the monthly accounting process, together with on-going forecasting and the annual business planning process for the business unit.
  • To lead, develop, implement, review, monitor and analyse initiatives to improve the profitability of the business unit and working capital cycle.
  • To lead the month end financial process for the business unit, providing insightful commentary on key monthly variances for the results and presentations where appropriate.

Your experience will include:
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
  • The successful candidate will have an appropriate Accountancy Qualification or near the end of qualification, with management accounts experience. You will need flexibility and excellent communication skills for this fast changing environment.
  • Proven ability to support non-finance staff in the management of cost centres
  • Advanced Microsoft excel skills essential to aid complex business modelling and process improvement.
  • Ability to identify the key financial and service risks from financial data.
  • Experience of fast paced, changing environment.
  • Flexible and Innovative person willing to drive forward change to the business.
  • Knowledge of SAP and Axiom reporting systems preferable
