Wholesale & Structured Finance Credit Manager - Berkshire

Our client is the Wholesale & Structured Finance division of an established Banking group and specialises in the provision of corporate and asset finance facilities. Due to continued growth they are looking to recruit a Wholesale & Structured Finance Credit Manager in a new post to review, assess, analyze and approve loans in accordance with their mandated authority and to support and deputise for the Head of Credit, UK in all areas of the Credit Team. The role will be primarily based in offices in Berkshire but flexible working is a possibility for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in sanctioning credit facilties within banking or asset finance industries.

Responsibilities of the Wholesale & Structured Finance Credit Manager:

The primary activity of the Wholesale & Structured Finance Credit Manager is to assess and review applications received for loans, wholesales finance and other structure finance products that meet the Banks agreed lending criteria in accordance with their mandated authority and to propose higher lends to Head of Credit/Credit Committee within delegated SLAs. You will also be responsible for supporting the Head of Credit by managing the day to day operation of the Credit Team and also deputising during their absence. In addition, you will be expected to manage and improve existing relationships with Wholesale Finance & Block Discounting partners in the UK on a pro-active basis.

Requirements of the Wholesale & Structured Finance Credit Manager:
  • Minimum 5 years experienced sanctioning credit facilities within banking or asset finance industries.
  • Knowledge of the procedures and processes relating to the recovery of bad debts and realisation of security.
  • Technical expertise in ability to structure complex deals over a variety of assets.
  • People management skills.
  • Professional detailed conscientious approach to work.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
