A leading commercial business in the Belfast area are recruiting a Payroll Administrator to cover a Maternity Contract for a 9-12 month period.

This is an excellent opportunity, suitable for anyone with a minimum of 3 years' Payroll experience who is available for either full time or part time work.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Management of the timely administration of all aspects of the Payroll functions to ensure that all staff are paid correctly and on time;

- Manage the collection of hours worked, absences, holidays, pass-outs, etc.;

- Maintain administration data for long term sick and leavers;

- Provide support to supervisors in respect of pay rates, holiday entitlement;

- Bring bookings on fortnightly basis to consolidation in order to facilitate the timely and efficient payment of wages on pre-determined fortnightly dates;

- Maintain employee details, rates, tax codes, addresses, bank details, pension and other deductions;

- Promptly process rate changes, personal bonus payments, back payments, cash advances, and other altercations;

- Maintain records and calculate for SSP, CSP, holiday pay, union returns, and pension returns;

- Weekly transfers into database to produce statistics for overtime/WTD/Absence;

- Deal with correspondence from Government Departments, Social Security Agencies, Inland Revenue, Insurance Companies, Court Service and other Third Parties;

- Processing new starts, leavers and employee payroll transfers; and

- Ad hoc administrative duties.


- Minimum 3 years previous experience of weekly and monthly payroll processing;

- Fundamental understanding of payroll theory and relevant legislation; and

- Competent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel at Moderate to Advanced skill level.
