We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join an established international business based in St Albans within a busy Accounts team within a 3 month maternity contract.

This position is an integral part of the team, responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate finance function within the business.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and working alongside the Management Accountant, you'll be responsible for accounting support duties within the team.

This role would suit an experienced credit controller or candidate at a junior level looking to gain experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Daily bank receipts postings
  • Credit control
  • Receiving and processing all invoices, expense forms and requests for payment
  • Verifying calculations working with the Accounts system
  • Reconciliation of direct debit mandates
  • Reconciling finance accounts
  • Preparing nominal ledger transaction analysis
  • Managing and posting petty cash transactions
  • Assisting with year budget preparation
  • Assisting with year-end audit analysis
  • Maintaining spreadsheets

What the employer is looking for:
  • 1-3 years Credit Control experience
  • Entry level candidates looking to gain experience will be considered
  • Good understanding of accountancy and book-keeping
  • Credit control experience
  • Confident, clear communicator with fluent English
  • Good understanding of Cost Centre Accounting - beneficial
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent Excel skills and computer literacy
  • Good organisational skills and ability to work to, and sometimes implement own processes

Salary: £18k to £24k depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm or 8am - 4pm
