We are delighted to be partnered with one of the UK's most accomplished law firms who are growing exponentially year after year. Due to continued growth and expansion, our highly covetable client is now looking to add an experienced RTA Litigator to their specialist team in Blackburn.

The successful RTA Litigator will have at least 12-months PQE managing a Personal Injury case load with a high percentage of litigated RTA files; managing and curating the litigation process once you have received the files.

We are keen to speak with qualified Solicitors, Legal Executives, Fee Earners who have a strong knowledge of PI law; as well as a proven track record in RTA litigation.

You will be responsible for providing cost effective administrative and secretarial support to the partner and other senior fee earners in the team in the work of the department.

This role will also involve coaching and guiding junior staff in RTA law, procedures and process and court process/ attendance.

As the RTA Litigator you will be arranging appointments and attending new, current and former clients and dealing with their queries including:
- Obtaining instructions and advising on course(s) of action, length and cost of case (as appropriate)
- Assessment of client's financial means and explanation of private terms and conditions and CFA's
- Drafting and/or dictating correspondence to client, court, solicitors counsel and other third parties, including Statements, Notices, Applications, and other Legal Forms/Documents
- Instructing counsel, experts, solicitor advocates or other third parties, reviewing reports and continued liaison as required
- Advising on appropriate course of action
- Arranging and attending hearings and conferences as and when required
- Obtaining and reviewing evidence and statements
- Negotiation on client's behalf and, liaison with opponents etc. to obtain most preferable outcome for clients
- Ensuring efficient day-to-day progress of all matters, prioritising work as necessary and keeping the client informed on progress

The successful RTA Litigator will have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
- Written and oral communication skills
- IT skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of Civil Litigation and Litigated Files
- Knowledge and understanding of GDPR and Equality Standards
- Qualified Solicitor with experience in completed LPC
- Completed a degree or equivalent qualification
- Higher Rights Advocate
- Personal Injury Panel Member
- Member of APIL
