Immediate Start - Purchase Ledger Clerk

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Egham for a Purchase Ledger Clerk. This is a varied and independent role. You will be working on a permanent, full time basis in a very busy Accounts Department where you will use Sage line 50 for, purchase ledger. This will need to be someone available for an immediate start. Close to the train station in Egham for non-drivers, but also with parking on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

* Processing Stock purchase invoices and credit notes.

* Processing multiple line invoices involving the use of document scanning and matching tools

* Resolving discrepancies quickly and efficiently

* Promptly action items to purchase ledger, minimising the delay in payment to the supplier.

* Highlight urgent invoices correctly to ensure all business-critical payments follow the correct internal procedures without causes any hold ups.

* Processing Overhead invoices

* Liaising with Warehouse to quickly resolve any quantity and pricing variances

* Purchase ledger duties cover dealing with Supplier payment queries

* Working with After Sales and Warehouse to resolve Shipping Queries

* Supporting the team with month and quarter end tasks as required

* Other ad hoc accounts duties as required


* Proficient user of Sage Line 50

* Proficient user of Excel, including CSV files for uploading data into SAGE

* Able to organise and deal with high volume input

* Someone with an accurate, logical, and concise approach to their work

* The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to change

* Excellent personal organisation, writing & communication skills

* The ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines

* Flexible with good work ethic and willing to assist others, where necessary, in all functions of the account department

* Willingness to learn with a "can-do" attitude
