As part of a team of mobile specialist technicians (either Panel, Paint, MET and Mechanical) working across a region you will undertake the repair of damaged vehicles to an extremely high standard, adhering to manufacturers literature as appropriate. The Technicians job also includes ensuring that equipment used is operated in accordance with defined safety requirements

You will report into the Regional Manager to understand when you need to be and when. The Regional Managers have all worked their way up the progression chain which means they really knows what it's like to be on the shop floor. They are as passionate about Customers as they are about their Teams and are absolutely determined to make their region the best in group. It's an amazing team!

You will be part of a team of specialists therefore this role does come with a favourable basic salary, bonus, company car and flexible hours

What you will be doing

Our Bodyshops are fast paced and exciting with lots of opportunity to make an incredible difference and apply your expertise and skill. In the job of a Roaming Technician you will be repairing many different marques of vehicle. This means performing repairs to an extremely high standard, demonstrating the level of quality required for Nationwide's very high standards. Rectification work is not negotiable in this role. It is also important for you as a Technician for you to fully understand different manufacturers literature and bulletins so you are fully up-to-date.

Another very important aspect of this job is teamwork as you will be working across a variety of locations and with a larger team of colleagues across many functional areas.

What we think good looks like

As a Roaming Technician you need to be prepared to travel to a variety of bodyshops in the region to help them achieve work quotas. We would like you to have an interest and passion in what we do and , have your own stocked tools, excellent job knowledge, be highly motivated and a natural team player. Naturally, due to the nature of the job you will need to have a full UK/EU Driving Licence and the relevant qualifications for the job (ATA, NVQ Level 3, or City and Guilds as well as experience in the accident repair environment). We will help and support you with the rest
