Fundraising Executive known within the organisation as a Trusts Executive, that has significant experience as a desk/ office based fundraiser with strong writing and creative skills is required to join an established team at a well-established Charity located in Reading, Berkshire.

SALARY: £21,568 - £22,838 per annum

We have a fantastic new job opportunity within an established team for a resourceful Fundraising Executive that has significant experience as a desk / office based fundraiser with strong writing and creative skills to help implement the Charity's strategy.

As the Fundraising Executive, you will approach new and existing Trusts and Foundations to maximise income from charitable trusts.

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities as the Fundraising Executive:
  • Approaching new and existing Trusts and Foundations ensuring exceptional donor care and stewardship to maximise income from Charitable Trusts. Work with the Trust Manager and Senior Trust Executive to regularly review feedback from donors to support future planning
  • Promote the Charity to new and existing funding sources to engage and build stronger relationships with Charitable Trusts, increase income and grow the Trusts and Foundations portfolio
  • Working with the Trust team, implement the Trusts and Foundations strategy of developing relationships and growing prospects. Using the phone and innovative methods to endorse the Charity, develop existing relationships and proactively identify new donor links/contacts. Work with the Trust Manager to review and develop proposals and identify ways to increase income
  • Work in close collaboration with colleagues in the Philanthropy and Partnerships team and other departments to match funding criteria to the right project(s)
  • Work with the Project Coordinator, Prospect Research team and other key departments to ensure suitable approaches are made to donors and the Charities projects are matched with the most appropriate funder
  • Monitoring, tracking and evaluation
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records on the Charity database to ensure effective stewardship, tracking of donors and prospects in the pipeline, and income reporting

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
  • Significant experience as a desk / office based fundraiser
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, at all levels
  • Strong writing and creative skills - experience working on bid-writing desirable
  • Persuasive, flexible, enthusiastic, well-organised with the ability to work on own initiative and multi-task
  • Demonstrable experience of networking and building relationships
  • Solid understanding of the principles of Trust fundraising.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (The Charity cannot provide sponsorship for this role)
