Software Developer - £22,000 to £28,000 depending on qualifications and experience - Milton Keynes, UK

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and capable Software Developer to join our close-knit developer team based in Milton Keynes. The successful candidate will be working on our flagship product, Virtual Worlds. This is an exciting opportunity to be working on a unique and market-leading product with a dynamic and rapidly growing team, developing both your skills and your career in the process.

The primary skills of a Software Developer include:
  • C++ and MFC
  • 2D and/or 3D Computer Graphics experience
  • HTML / Bootstrap experience
  • Visual Studio

Other secondary skills that we would want you to have include:
  • C#
  • SQL Server
  • Client/Server Architecture
  • Good mathematics ability

Ideal candidates should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years commercial programming experience; however, we will consider well qualified candidates with less or more experience.

The Person

The key qualities of a Software Developer:
  • Ability to identify potential challenges and raise them in a timely manner to meet deadlines/deliveries
  • Strong development and organisational skills; and an exemplary attitude to time management, meeting tight deadlines whilst still maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, confident liaising with colleagues (and clients as and when required) using traditional methods of both phone calls and email or attending meetings
  • Friendly, enthusiastic, flexible and pro-active work ethic, able to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
  • Talent for exploring new products and creating procedures; and desire to learn and innovate
