iMultiply are delighted to be engaged on the role of Accounts Assistant for a fast-growing business based in Edinburgh City Centre. The role is paying a salary of £22,000 - £24,000 plus an excellent benefits package.

The Role

The role of Accounts Assistant will report to the Finance Manager but will have the opportunity to work closely with more senior members of the finance team as the role progresses. The successful candidate will be well versed in all aspects of transactional finance; as well as having experience of month end concepts, such as accruals and pre-payments.

In order to be success, an applicant must show an ability to work at pace (while maintaining a high standard in all aspects of their work). This individual must also be a self-starter and be highly proficient on Microsoft Excel i.e. pivot tables, vlookups etc.

On Offer

The role of Accounts Assistant will offer a salary of £22,000 - £24,000 as well as an excellent benefits package, including STUDY SUPPORT (if relevant). The office is based in Edinburgh City Centre and is easily accessible via public transport.

You will be involved in but not limited to the following duties:
  • Maintenance of the Purchase Ledger function
  • Sales ledger including Credit Control (if/when required)
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Preparation of month end accruals, selected balance sheet reconciliations and prepayments
  • Assisting with preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts
  • Assisting with VAT Returns and ensure accurate treatment of invoices
  • General ad hoc support to the Finance Manager and other members of Senior Management

To be considered for the role you must:
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of finance experience
  • Have experience of operating Sage Accounting Software or similar
  • Be highly proficient on MS Excel i.e. pivot tables, vlookups, MACROS (desirable)
  • Have excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Have a University Degree or equivalent (desirable not essential)
