Your new School

This supportive SEN Primary School is easily accessible within the St. Helens area, currently looking to for an experienced SEN Teaching to support both KS1 and KS2 classes within the school. You will be joining a friendly and driven team of staff with the goal of supporting students with a range of Special Educational Needs. You will be working around 3-5 days per week on a temp basis, with the contract length running up to around 12 weeks.

Your new role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students to provide 1:1 support to children with SEN such as ADHD and Autism, supporting with their social and educational development. You will further support the class teacher by helping to plan and prepare lessons, as well as leading some class-based activities. Your main responsibility will be to provide support to students and help pupils to engage with their work.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in this position, you will need demonstrated experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs in a class-based environment, and you will have developed strategies to support students who are struggling. You will be friendly and approachable, and will be determined to support students and boost their progression.
