Our client is looking for someone who is analytical, self motivated, logical with great problem solving skills, Technical Manager who has the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines. Must have a chemical background.

Technical Manager main duties:
  • To provide technical advice.
  • Accountable for applying technical skills to ensure product quality meets customer expectations and specifications consistently.
  • Accountable for maintaining and improving process controls that safeguard product quality.
  • Participating in investigations of a technical nature on production machinery.
  • Dealing with the technical aspects of customer complaints.
  • Providing technical support to the sales department.
  • Involvement in assessing the suitability of substitute raw materials and new raw materials.
  • Assisting in the management and improvement of the technical department's quality control responsibilities.
  • Oversee that corrective actions are performed and completed.
  • Management of held stock using the established procedures.
  • Keeping up to date with regulatory technical issues.
  • Attending customers and suppliers as and when required. This will include staying away on occasions and overseas travel.

Technical Manager experience needed:
  • Experience in a supervisory role.
  • A strong knowledge of materials
  • A good understanding of the type of plant and equipment.
  • Engineering knowledge would be beneficial.
  • An understanding of customer materials and manufacturing methods
  • Ability to work on own and to work with others.
  • Adaptable.
  • A previous record of working in a manufacturing technical role or laboratory.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Managerial people skills.
  • Good report writing skills.
