Risk Manager - Enterprise Wide, Operational and Conduct Risk

This Challenger Bank has a simple concept; where people and technology work together to help companies do business and people save money.

They will offer a variety of Business loan and Business and Personal savings products via Relationship Managers and their sophisticated banking platform with the Bank's launch due Q3 2019.

Purpose of Role:

The purpose of the role is to manage and maintain the Bank's key Risk Frameworks:

·Enterprise Wide Risk

·Operational Risk

·Conduct Risk

Principal Accountabilities:

·Leading the implementation and embedding of the Risk Management Framework

·Monitoring and management of the Risk Appetite Statement

·Preparation and management of the Board Risk pack including qualitative and quantitative assessment

·Managing the Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process

·Managing and maintaining the Risk Register

·Development of Early Warning Indicators and identification of emerging risks

·Developing and maintaining the incident and issue management system

·Leading root cause analysis of issues and incidents

·Developing and delivering Risk Management training programmes

·Leading scenario analysis for input into the ICAAP and ILAAP

·Supporting the strategic direction of the business and making a significant contribution to the Bank's commercial success.

·Undertake Risk Assurance reviews of the Bank's First Line of Defence

·To deputize for the Chief Risk Officer as appropriate

·Leading the Conduct Risk agenda and advocate for Treating Customers Fairly


·High level of experience and in managing Enterprise Wide, Operational and Conduct Risk frameworks in Financial services

·Strong technical knowledge relative to these disciplines

·Strong stakeholder management across all business levels

·Proven track record of deliverability and ability to work under pressure

·Team leadership

·Project Management

·Strong Microsoft Office skills
