Client Account Manager - Data Centre sector

Key responsibilities and duties

Client Relationship Management:
  • You will be an advocate for clients. Collaborate and align across the group departments to meet the clients' needs
  • Work closely with the clients to build trusted relationships. Engage with clients on a regular basis to form strong working relationships and ensure satisfaction.

Client Management:
  • Work with clients to understand their strategy and programme timeframes in order to support their planning.
  • Helping clients post contract, coordinating the installation process with the client and appropriate personnel to ensure a seamless transition.
  • Oversee all post sales client management, including: introductions, on boarding, familiarisation of site operations and procedures, best practice, event management.
  • Respond in a timely and effective manner to client inquiries, issues and complaints raised directly to you or in support of the service desk.
  • Raising client issues to appropriate decision makers within the group, keep clients appraised on progress.
  • Ensure a high level approach to client experience including proactive relationship management, regular occurring client reviews, setting and managing expectations, etc.

Order Management:
  • Work with clients to facilitate new orders. Fully capture and qualify client requirements and champion client needs into the appropriate department for progression.
  • Facilitate engagement between departments and the client to qualify requirements.
  • Provide clear and well defined requirements to departments for quotation, pricing and order processing.
  • Keep the client appraised on order status, delivery time frames and any issues

  • Find innovative solutions to delivery processes, engagement models and client understanding - demonstrate improvement in client experience and be seen as a 'go-to' resource in helping shape performance and service direction.
  • Support client requests for information (RFI), audits, tours, design workshops, sales bids, contractual negotiations etc.
  • Keep appraised of latest incidents related to your clients and support the service desk and wider organisation to facilitate discussions with the clients as required.
  • Review monthly reports ahead of distribution, understand performance measures in the contract and lead conversations with the client on any exceptions/issues (i.e. breaches/incidents/changes/power utilisation)

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

Applicants will need to have experience in the data centre sector
  • Business Acumen - knowledge, skills and understanding, of business process, tools and concepts required to make sound decisions.
  • Practical experience of data centre service delivery
  • Experienced at establishing client relationships and then leading discussions with the client to understand their requirements
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients at all levels including senior executives and decision makers - ability to directly influence decisions.
  • Experienced at working within a highly confidential environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of data centre operations with strong organisational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • First-rate attention to detail.
  • IT Literate in all Microsoft Office Programmes.

Salary - £45,000, plus benefits Inc. Bupa, pension and discretionary bonus scheme.
