Our client is a leading global technology and services innovator, respected for providing solutions to some of the greatest international security challenges in Information Technology. This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT security professional to plan and implement security controls for new products and services within commercial, military, satellite and security markets.

You will perform IT security risk assessments for new products and services including existing configurations, both on premises and cloud based. You will be involved in the investigation of security incidents in conjunction with SOC analysts followed up with the development and implementation of robust IT security plans.

You will be responsible for preventing compromise, data loss and service interruptions by identifying new technologies that will effectively protect networks, locally stored data and information retained in cloud applications. You will collaborate globally with colleagues to provide IT security risk mitigation across a wide range of company products and services.

Your role will include documentation of all security breaches, making appropriate recommendations where required. Through this process you will be responsible for the continued evolution of security standards and disaster recovery plans. Penetration testing will be integral to this approach. You should have knowledge of common encryption technologies such as PGP, SSH and TLS and authentication protocols including RADIUS, LDAP, Kerberos, SAML and OAUTH. Experience securing Active Directory environments including servers and endpoints would be beneficial as would a working knowledge of cloud computing technologies and workload transition challenges.

Main Duties:

+ Design security architecture and developing detailed cyber security resolutions

+ Protect systems by defining access privileges and control structures

+ Implement security improvements through baseline assessment and trend evaluation

+ Determine security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits

Skills and Experience Required:

+ 5+ years' experience in IT security, compliance and risk management including privacy controls

+ BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Maths

+ Experience in security architecture, security application scanning and vulnerability assessment

+ Implementation experience with enterprise SIEM security solutions
