SUMMARY OF ROLE
Leading a team of four, provide internal and reporting activities of a manufacturing legal entity and a large manufacturing plant including responsibilities around the month end close process cycle, mid-month processes, business and commercial analysis, standard costing, inventory accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cost base, operational accounting and assistance to adhoc projects. To ensure financial reporting services/performance are delivered in accordance with business expectations. To be a key lead for the pressure relief finance team. To ensure that the financial reporting standards and activities are followed in an efficient and professional manner, in turn ensuring the KPI's are achieved.

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Full financial ownership of the manufacturing entity including but not limited to:
• Inventory accounting, support on cycle counting, physical stock takes, business intelligence dashboards, and partnering with the manufacturing plant to meet inventory reduction targets whilst improving material availability.
• Legal entity, business unit, and plant P&L ownership.
• Partner with supply chain to ensure clean and current inventory master settings and deliver month on month reduction in obsolete and surplus inventory.
• Cost base management, reporting, budget holder reviews and variance analysis.
• Gross margin and standard costing analysis at sales order, value stream, and product levels.
• Monthly P&L and balance sheet reporting and monthly balance sheet reviews.
• Support to statutory accounts and tax returns.
• Development of KPIs and business intelligence reporting.
• Annual budgeting and monthly forecasting including variance analysis by business unit.
• Financial lead on plant cost saving initiatives and provide financial support to 'make versus buy' projects and price v purchase quantity projects.
• Develop business intelligence reporting dashboards for manufacturing plant inventory. Ensure the issues /actions identified by the business intelligence reporting are implemented across the plant.
• Provide financial support to the annual sales tools initiatives.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIOSN AND EXPERIENCE

Essential:
• Delivery of financial reporting KPI's within a team;
• Qualified through ACCA, CIMA or other equivalent body;
• Ability to build strong relationships with peers and stakeholders;
• Strong communication skills with a practical understanding of how to assist inter-departmental relations and understands customer needs;
• Good IT skills - ERP, MS Office; Excel skills - intermediate (vlookup, sumif, countif, pivot tables);
• Proven time management skills - clearly prioritises and delivers against deadlines;
• Attention to detail and ability to work on own initiative.

Desirable:
• SAP experience; HFM experience and ESSbase experience;
