This is a significant opportunity to contribute to the current and future business growth of a market leading Process Solutions Company. Working within our multi-discipline manufacturing team, utilising your technical knowledge and professional experience you will play a critical role in the delivery of process packages globally for on and offshore applications. You will be required to contribute towards welding deliverables required for quoting, manufacturing and satisfying customer requirements. Experience or expertise in the field of offshore packages such as separation and mixing processes, water treatment and sand handling packages is desirable for this position. You will ensure correct implementation of project quality plan within our manufacturing plant and ensure that project specifications are accomplished in a timely and an accurate manner providing accurate and timely reports according to the project specifications. You should be keen to take on fresh challenges, develop your technical and interpersonal skills as well as expand your knowledge and experience and share them through a variety of exciting projects.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the technical conformance, to client specification and applicable codes and practice.
• Review of welding requirements at estimate stage regarding allocation/suitability of pre-qualified weld procedures that are compliant with client specifications, statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Responsible for the timely delivery of project related welding documentation.
• Review any subcontracting requirements regarding welding.
• Qualification of weld procedures in accordance with ASME IX, AWS D1.1 and EN ISO 15614-1. Including any extra client's requirements.
• Development and review of welder qualifications in accordance with EN ISO 9606-1.
• Liaise with certifying authority and test house regarding mechanical / corrosion testing of weld procedures.
• Interpret or evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, or procedures.
• Review of Work Orders and allocation of appropriate weld procedures.
• Monitor and report Quality Assurance and Quality Control aspects of required work scope package(s).
• Control and ensure the accuracy of all project quality documentation related to projects.
• Work closely with departmental managers, manufacturing staff and suppliers to ensure quality, aiming to minimise the costs of reworking or waste and maximise customer satisfaction with our products.
• Make recommendations for corrective actions, continually identifying areas of improvement.
• Visually examine materials, structures, or components using tools and equipment for signs of corrosion, metal fatigue, cracks, or other flaws.
• Support, continuously improve and communicate welding systems, processes and policies.
• Be fully aware of personal workload, prioritise and organise to ensure deadlines are achieved.
• Ensure a high standard of professionalism is maintained and that customer care is foremost.
• Demonstrate a high standard of housekeeping in the work area and department.
• Ensure personal compliance with all HSE legislation and HSE Company policy.
• Be fully familiar and conversant with department and company policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are in full compliance at all times.
• Support other departments and carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager.
• Travel when required as dictated by business needs.

• CSWIP 3.2 Qualification in Welding Inspection

• Diploma of European & International Welding Technologist

Experience:

• Working knowledge of fabrication in the oil and gas industry

• Knowledge of ISO 3834-2 certification requirements

Skills, training or special knowledge

• Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

• Working knowledge of pressure vessel, piping and structural design codes

• Knowledge of PED and its application

• Knowledge of NACE

• Knowledge of NORSOK standards

• Have an understanding of common place industry materials and their application

• Understanding of engineering documents and drawings

• Experience of TWI Welderqual or Welding Estimator software
