HR Advisor / Learning & Development Coordinator

Thera Trust is the parent company of Thera Group; a charitable group of companies that supports people with a learning disability. Our unique leadership and structure includes people with a learning disability. Through this we can demonstrate that people with a learning disability can be leaders in society - but we can't do this without you! We are now looking to expand our HR team in Scotland and are looking to recruit a Learning and Development & HR Advisor.

Position: HR Advisor / Learning & Development Coordinator
Location: Homebased - covering Scotland.
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 39 hours per week
Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 per annum

About the role:

This role is an exciting combination of two roles within our HR function, as we are recruiting for a Learning and Development trainer with HR advisory responsibilities.

You will be responsible for delivering high quality vocational training to all Thera Staff in an exciting and impactful way. You will coordinate and deliver induction training as well as specialist courses such as Autism Awareness, as well as maintaining and completing training records. Alongside of this you will need to be able to deliver an effective and responsive service to managers by coaching them on our HR policies. You'll be the prime operational link between Thera Scotland and the central HR function. You'll need to be confident delivering advice on; disciplinaries, absence management, TUPE and more.

In order to be successful you will need to be an exceptionally strong communicator. You must be motivated, flexible and organised, with the ability to work on your own initiative to meet tight deadlines. This role will involve some travel across Scotland and some overnight stays when required.

About you:

- CIPD Level 5.
- Experience of delivering learning opportunities.
- Good knowledge of legislation relating to social care.
- Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong IT skills.
- Able to work to tight deadlines.
- Organised with a high attention to detail.
