The Role: Working as a Trainee Paraplanner / Paraplanner you will support the Financial Planners when informing and advising Clients on financial strategies, plans and products.The successful candidate will benefit from the professional training and development required to progress a successful career in Financial Planning, working for Brunel Capital Partners (Bristol, BS2), one of the South West's leading financial planning firms, who puts the client at the heart of everything they do.

Trainee Paraplanner / Paraplanner, Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Financial Planners in research and analysis to meet Client needs and objectives
  • Support the Financial Planners in preparing Client financial planning recommendations and suitability reports
  • Prepare and compile financial analysis data
  • Analyse Client data and prepare cash flow analyses
  • Research financial products to support recommendations
  • Ensure all regulatory and compliance standards are met
  • Liaise with product providers and other relevant third parties
  • Ensure all Client requirements are followed through to the appropriate conclusion
  • Assist the Financial Planners with Client presentations and any other activities as agreed
  • Prepare New Business for processing
  • Assisting with annual technical reviews of services and products.
  • Develop and maintain internal relationships to help maintain business flow and meet agreed targets
  • Promote the profile of the business within the profession and wider communities
  • Continuous professional development to meet regulatory requirements and personal development needs
  • Ensuring that any business conducted is done in a responsible and compliant manner, meeting all legislative requirements, both internally and externally.
  • Additional duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Trainee Paraplanner / Paraplanner, skills and experience required:
  • Previous experience gained working in a financial planning organisation
  • A commitment to learning and professional development
  • Customer focused with high levels of integrity and a concern for excellence.
  • Professional appearance, confident manner and excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Highly IT literate with the ability to fully embrace technology.
  • Graduate level - highly preferable but not essential.
