Our client is a market leading insurance company with offices based in Manchester city centre, and are currently seeking a skilled Claims Manager with full motor claims knowledge to join the team.

As a Customer Operations Claims Manager (Motor Claims), you'll develop, lead and motivate a team of Claims Team Leaders to achieve business objectives.

You will:
  • Assist the Claimant Services Manager in leading and motivating Team Leaders, to ensure team and departmental targets are met.
  • Work with the Assistant Manager - Technical and assist the Claimant Services Manager in the overall management of the Manchester Claims function.
  • Manage performance of Team Leaders through regular 1-2-1's in order to ensure all FSA statutory requirements are achieved.
  • Working in conjunction with the Claims Manager, assist in the development of the Claims Operation in line with the overall Business Plan.
  • Implement and manage consistent processes and high standards at Team Leader and Claims Handler level, ensuring that productivity is always maximized and claims costs are controlled and managed effectively.
  • Ensure the skills, morale and culture of staff by ensuring a high quality of performance management exists at all levels together with a structured development programme for all staff. Identify enhancements where appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships both externally and internally to derive maximum benefit for the company through supplier performance and implementation of best practice internally.
  • Personally handle and resolve the most complex customer and technical issues, including complaints addressed to the Chief Executive.
  • Effectively manage and understand business trends, and take action to maximize business performance. Successfully input change through design and delivery.

Proven experience within a similar role within a Motor Insurance Claims environment.

Full Time Permanent contract, Monday to Friday - 9-5pm, (Business Operating hours 8am-8pm and Saturdays 9-5pm)

Salary - negotiable, likely around £45,000-55,000 basic salary, plus extensive benefits including-
