Gleneagles, one of Scotland's finest and most iconic 5-star hotels and country estates, is currently seeking a bright, resourceful and motivated Pay & Benefits Manager to join the People team, and support our Director of People & Culture.

Located just off the A9, Gleneagles is also within easy reach of a number of Scottish towns and cities: Edinburgh City Centre (1hr), Glasgow or Dundee (50mins), Stirling and Perth (25mins).

We're looking for a Pay & Benefits Manager to join our People team. Essentially, we need an experienced pair of hands who can make sure this important part of our business runs smoothly.



Key responsibilities:


• Take responsibility for the smooth running of our end to end payroll cycle (for circa 1100 employees), from data collection, new joiner setup, over benefits and variable pay component management, to data management, audit and reporting

• Process our monthly payrolls, on time and accurately. This can include timesheet management, gratuities, sales commissions, bonuses, and other ad hoc payments

• Administration of all pay-related benefits, such as pension, private medical, health cash plan, child care vouchers etc.

• Work with the relevant people partners and finance managers on payroll review and sign off

• Standard tracking and reporting on pay & benefits activity, including building custom reports and ensuring accuracy of payroll via data audits

• Ensure we're compliant with auto enrolment, maintaining a positive relationship with benefits providers

• Act as the first point of contact for all payroll queries from employees; work with wider Finance and People team on various projects and initiatives

• Management of all reporting and compliance requirements including annual payroll reconciliations and P60, P11ds, P45s



The kind of person we're looking for:


• Previous experience with running payroll end-to-end is a must; if you've done so in the hospitality, leisure or food & beverage industries, that would be a plus

• Systems knowledge of Carval, Workday and Sage50 would be an advantage, but Isn't essential

• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with laser-sharp attention to detail; you're comfortable handling and analysing information coming from a variety of sources

• A strong customer service focus with a commitment towards delivering results. You don't have to be told what to do, but take ownership of and pride in your work. You're proactive when it comes to problems and always see tasks through to the end

• Willingness to take on duties outside of your direct remit. We often get stuck in and work together, and on occasion you will find yourself working with demands and ad-hoc duties that might be new. Curiosity and a can-do attitude will go a long way

• Enthusiasm, confidence and warmth; you like working in an environment where things move and flex

• You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and above all has fun with it along the way
