Site Project Engineering Manager

£50k - £60k Band plus 15% Bonus, Comprehensive package and Pension

Location: Wakefield area, West Yorkshire

Our client is a Global Category Leader in their FMCG manufacturing Industry, employing several thousand people across the globe. Production through engineering Innovation is key - providing innovative solutions that lead the global marketplace.

Due to sustained global business expansion, there is an immediate requirement for a Project Engineering Manager / Leader, part of the senior site leadership team, responsible directly to the Site Lead.

The plan - increase site capacity through managing the CAPEX investment plan, optimise and increase efficiencies through innovative engineering investment. You will lead the project engineering department, leading and developing the site capital plan.

You will be responsible for the management of multi-million capital projects to budget and schedule, ensuring that the business case is appropriate and the engineering investment, innovation or improvement you manage on site if fit for purpose. You will develop and uphold the Capital Project Management Process during exciting times of investment and innovative change programmes on a large manufacturing site. You will participate in the scoping process of new projects and provide support for determining project budgets and schedules.

Does this sound like you?

Graduate calibre in a relevant engineering discipline, ideally Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical engineering on route to chartership, if not already there

Experience of relevant engineering and project management experience within a chemical or manufacturing environment, including Process, Chemicals, food and drink, pharmaceuticals and FMCG

Proven experience of leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams is essential

Legislative knowledge relating to the application of the CDM Regs is preferred

Experience in managing a team IS ESSENTIAL

Ability to demonstrate strong team working and team leadership

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and influence at all levels

Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities
