The Role

This role is for a Senior IT Project Manager to work within the IT Change organisation.

Currently RM is undertaking a major change initiative, the Evolution Programme, to replace its legacy ERP platforms with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP. The first initiative the successful candidate will be deployed onto is the Project Management of an End-to-End Release of that Programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Successfully deliver change initiatives of value up to £5m, strong budget creation & management skills
  • Define to embed best practice programme & project management disciplines (both waterfall and agile)
  • Manage teams of up to 50 FTE across multiple suppliers (in house, contractors, consultants)
  • Building strong engagement across multi-disciplined (Business & IT) and cross geography (UK & India) teams
  • Excellent Executive Level Stakeholder Management and Impact

Skills & Experience
  • Experience of managing a range of IT infrastructure projects including organisation wide.
  • A proven track record of defining, developing and managing projects to time and budget.
  • Strong communication skills - to effectively communicate relevant project information to internal stakeholders with the ability to monitor and act on staff feedback
  • Experience working with senior decision makers within customer organisations
  • The ability to influence internal stakeholders of all levels, using flexibility of approach
  • Experience working with medium sized technical project teams e.g. technical architects
  • A proven track record of building a stakeholder network across a business by spending time in different offices.
  • Knowledge and experience of working in the full Project Delivery Life Cycle
  • Experience in quality management/control
  • The ability to execute high quality governance programmes
  • Exceptional financial management and control skills and experience.
  • Prince 2 practitioner qualification
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Expert user of MS Project and MS Excel
  • Diligence to ensure appropriate audit and compliance activities are in place i.e. ISO (Desirable)
