We are looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Assistant Accountant to join our very well-established client in Tewkesbury to support the Accounts function. Reporting into the Financial Controller within a small team you will support financial accounting processes and transactional duties with the opportunity to also take on management accounting processes in the future. This is a varied position offering scope for development and variety in a well-established and successful organisation.

This role would suit someone that has worked within the Manufacturing/Engineering sector and has experience of using SAGE. You will ideally be AAT qualified or currently studying level 3 or 4 with strong communication and Excel skills.


Completion of weekly and monthly payrolls (inc. Time & Attendance system)
Completion of associated general ledger journals
Payment of weekly expenses
Support to purchase and sales ledgers
Completion of monthly headcount reporting
Administration of banking transactions
Analysis of Working capital & completion of cash flow forecasts
Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
Recharging of costs within the Group
Assisting in the completion of the quarterly VAT return for the legal entity
Support to the monthly submission of results to group
Analysis of expenditure for Corporation tax reporting
Assistance during audit and statutory reporting
