"Inspiring and supporting young people to make positive choices about the future"

About the Lead Chef Tutor role:

You will be teaching a range of qualifications up to Level 2 to small groups of 14 - 16-year olds in addition to a post 16 cohort.

The College includes a professional kitchen and restaurant which is open to the public one evening a week. This gives the young people a real 'hands-on' feel and enables many of their students to find work in the catering industry.

The Kitchen Craft catering training facility has been designed to provide a platform for learners who see themselves pursuing careers in the Hospitality and Catering industries and offers a varied choice of qualifications which enable the young people to progress into college, university or an apprenticeship with advanced levels of skill and knowledge. It also provides enrichment for young people who attend Haybrook College Trust to take advantage of the skills and experience of a professionally trained chef.

They will be taught about team work, health & safety, healthy eating and meal planning, cooking economically at home etc., which are skills which are practical and transferable into any walk of life.

About you:

You must have a commitment to having a positive impact on the lives of the young people that you train.

Experience of successfully managing the learning of pupils with challenging behaviour is essential. Whilst a teaching qualification would be advantageous, it is not an essential requirement.
