My client , a well established manufacturing business is looking for an expereinced accountant with previous manufacturing experience to join their business at a time of growth . Working closely alongside the General Manager and the Finance Director it will be your responsibility to support both managers to achieve site objectives by managing a finance team who are responsible for all aspects of financial support operationally and strategically .

Key Duties include :

Review monthly P&Ls to budget with monthly meeting with budget holders
• Manage Site Purchase Ledger, paying suppliers as per agreed credit terms.
• Manage Site Sales Ledger, Credit Control, flagging any serious credit control issues to appropriate people. Review customers credit limits and credit reports on a regular basis, never exceeding one year.
• Manage Site Payroll including Salaries and Wages.
• Working with Group Finance Director to fulfil all site regulatory requirements included but not limited to PAYE, RTI, Pension, Office for National Stats, P11Ds, P46s, P45s and VAT.
• Prepare, Assist and be involved in the Annual Accounting Audit.
• Audit and be involved in the Site Stock System.
• Manage site company cars and any other Benefits in Kind.
• Maintain a computerised Fixed Asset System which is up-to-date at all times.
• Controlling and reviewing authorised Site Capital Expenditure projects, highlighting adherence to budget performance to General Manager and site HSE / Facility Manager.
• Work closely with site logistics and Direct purchasing officer and Group Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager making sure expenditure fits within budgets.
• Lead cross-functional team to define a system to manage new stock/inventory with key project holders

The right candidate for this role will have previous experience in a manufacturing / production environment in an SME and have experience of supervising a small team.
