We need you to help us do this.Why this role mattersThe role holder will be part of the MVNO product management team within the Mobility function of Customer Solutions. We define the products and solutions we wholesale to brands and service providers who want to offer a mobile service yet lack some technical capability. Specific areas of responsibility will focus on the in-life management and development of the MVNO portfolio, roadmap and lifecycle management, regulatory compliance and sales support.
Working with operational and technology teams to ensure there is a robust product wrap and strategy around existing capabilities.
Working closely with the Mobile Sales teams to support opportunities that further evolve BT's MVNO capability. Aligning to the strategic needs of our customers, emerging technologies and regulatory obligations.
Delivery of market leading Mobile products to ensure commercial benefits are achieved (strategic, revenue, cost reduction, operational efficiency, compliance). Launching new bespoke services for specific MVNO partners.
Manage the in-life development, documentation, enhancement and evolution of existing products and services.
Responsibilities under the role can include owning, developing and implementing the product strategy (contributing to overall MVNO strategy), new product development, bid management, in-life product/service management. What you'll be doingProduct management. Ownership of product strategy and product roadmap to develop and manage the lifecycle of existing products. Lead the delivery of initiatives and projects to realise business goals via the BT project framework
Identify, evaluate, develop and launch to market commercial products in order to exploit opportunities / mitigate threats in support of the MVNO business units / sales
Leadership. Manage cross functional virtual teams and suppliers and in some cases account management of key stakeholder areas and suppliers.
Service launch. Strategic and often bespoke services designed to meet the needs of the customer
Sales support. Support the Mobile sales functions in bidding for / selling MVNO products, services and bespoke solutions
To be an champion for the Mobile portfolio internally and externally engaging with customers to ensure market knowledge and insight are input into portfolio strategy and customer requirements are at the heart of portfolio management.
To be responsible for strategic alignment, planning, budgeting and investment, supplier relationships and cost control, quality of service.
Working with operational and service delivery teams on feature enhancement, cost reduction, specials/bids, legal and regulatory obligations, supporting and influencing Industry Forums and User Groups, interaction with customers, complaints handling and the management and support of relevant complex projects. We'll also need to see these on your CVExperience of managing suppliers and partners
Relevant experience working with the UK wholesale mobile market.
Able to deliver to tight times scales, to innovate and 'think outside the box' to deliver products and solutions that meet customers stated requirements.
Demonstrable communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills to Director level.
Demonstrable leadership and influencing skills at a senior level.
Experience of sales or tech sales support
MVNO and telecommunication market knowledge and technical understanding
Project management skills are also desirable.
