Whatever stage you're at in your career, we're always looking for high quality candidates.Project Risk Manager & AnalystAWE are currently recruiting for a Risk Manager/Analyst to join the Finance and Business Management (F&BM) team. F&BM is looking to strengthen its risk analysis capability and this role will help deliver a risk management and modelling service to AWE projects and programmes, supporting decision making and investment approvals. Location - Reading area £41,000 - £60,000AWE offer a competitive salary, market leading contributory pension scheme, generous holiday entitlement, excellent work/life balance including a 9-day working fortnight and flexible working hours (role dependant). A salary sacrifice scheme is also available. We welcome applications from candidates looking for full time or part time hours.As a Risk Manager/Analyst, you will support projects identify, assess and manage their risks, produce cost and schedule risk analyses, contribute to investment decisions, assist peer reviews and model validation & verification (V&V), and promote risk analysis across the organisation.Successful applicants for the Risk Manager/Analyst role will have knowledge and experience of the majority of the following:· Delivering a risk management service to projects in line with process and best practice; conducting risk workshops and reviews, generating and maintaining project risk registers, developing quantitative risk information.· Application and development of Cost and Schedule Risk Analyses ('confidence models'). Acquiring, eliciting and transforming schedule, cost, risk and uncertainty data into a form suitable for modelling.· Risk Modelling Tools and Techniques - @Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis (or similar tools). Full model lifecycle, including independent V&V. · Support to business cases and investment approval - E.g. Optioneering, Investment Appraisal, particularly for MoD/UK Government (e.g. HMT Green Book, JSP507, JSP655)· Experience of large programmes and projects, including stakeholder engagement at all levels; networking, influencing, and developing and maintaining effective working relationshipsWe are looking for candidates who have a Degree or HND/HNC in appropriate technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience. Relevant professional memberships or qualifications are desirable (e.g. IRM, APM, ACostE, ICEAA), as is broader modelling and coding expertise (e.g. simulation, VBA).Individuals interested in this permanent opportunity will be required to be eligible for UK Security Clearance.AWE plays a crucial role in the defence of the United Kingdom, by providing and maintaining the warheads for the country's nuclear deterrent.
