We are retained by this prestigious client with a strong heritage within their industry.They are a manufacturer with a notable name.Due to continued success we are seeking to recruit a Quality Engineer for this sought-after role.


New Product Quality Engineer

Accountable to:

Head of Quality and Compliance

Head of Quality and Compliance
The Quality Manager role is new and aims at supporting the client's effort in delivering the new product pipeline. The role will be responsible for managing the process of supplier evaluation / audit and the evaluation of new products to deliver a full assessment to the Product Managers.

This will be done by working very closely with the Product Management team, the R&D team, including their in-house test lab and the Quality team. Close working relationships with potential suppliers will also be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES New / prospective suppliers quality management
•Supplier desk-based evaluation (compliance to standards, capability)

•Supplier audit (either directly, or through third-party)

•Supplier on-boarding

•Performance reviews
New products evaluation and introduction
•Evaluate compliance of new products

•Coordinate the performance testing of new products

•Coordinate third-party testing of new products where required

•Chair regular progress meetings to review test results

•Produce final recommendation for the Product Managers

Ensure technical file is complete ahead of ordering new products so compliance to the standards can be demonstrated and CE mark certified

•Complete Gold Seal Sample process for all new products

•Manage pre-shipment inspections with third-parties
Post launch quality management
•Manage the testing of all faulty returns for new products

•Review statistics and failure modes with R&D team, leading to FMEA and ENCs ?Manage ECNs for new products
The role is pivotal for our client . To be successful the candidate must firstly be a good communicator and be able to present clear and concise messages to drive decisive actions. The role requires strong organisational skills and effective time-management.

It is essential for the candidate to display the following key attributes:
