Job Title:Healthcare Administration Assistant
Salary:£17,000 plus overtime
Contract Type:Temporary ongoing
Hours:40 hour working week basic
Location:Birmingham and travelling around the Midlands

We are currently recruiting for a team of Health Care Assistants to work for a reputable Healthcare Company based in Birmingham. You will be based at different clinics across the Midlands area where you will be responsible for managing the clinic and providing administrative support to the medical professionals based at that clinic.

This is a responsible and interesting role that requires someone with a great deal of empathy as you will be dealing with patients and their families. You will also need to be a car driver as you'll be based at different clinics around the Midlands on a daily basis (mileage is reimbursed at 40p per mile). You will be paid overtime (time and a half) for hours over 40 hour working week.

Key Duties Will Include:

*Updating and typing medical reports following clinic
*Process invoices relating to minor surgeries
*Support the registered clinician in the implementation of agreed care plans
*Managing the clinic ensuring that appointments do not overrun
*Liaising with patients in regards to their appointments and after care plans by phone, email and face to face
*Meeting and greeting patients and showing them into the clinic room demonstrating warmth and empathy at all times
*Help promote and maintain an environment conducive to meeting the needs of the patient/ relatives and carers
*To assist in the maintenance of room cleanliness and tidiness, adhering to infection control and policy procedures at all times

Key Skills/Experience Required:
*Previous organisational and administrative experience ideally gained working within Healthcare, Nursing Homes, Dental or Optical industry advantageous
*The ability to prioritise workload and cope with changing demands
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills which requires high attention to detail
*IT literacy (Microsoft office packages and in house systems) are essential
*Must have a current DBS
*You must be a car driver and own your own vehicle as you will be expected to travel to clinics and head office in Birmingham to collect equipment

You will be paid a hourly rate, plus you will also have business mileage paid as well as paid hourly overtime, for working over your core 40 working hour week. Due to the nature of the role your working hours could fall over the weekend on occasion in line with clinics, but you wouldn't work 7 full days.

A thorough induction and a full weeks intensive training will be provided to the successful candidates.
