Data Project Manager - Data Governance

High Wycombe

£59,000 perm annum

My client who is based in High Wycombe is looking for a Project Manager with Data Governance experience. The successful Project Manager would be expected to manage their Data Governance Programme. The data governance programme is a major programme for my client and will cover any remaining GDPR issues within. You will also be involved with the rollout of an EDMS system to improve their knowledge management, upgrades to their bespoke core system, tackling data quality both within their systems and in their business processes where the data is collected and driving a cultural change in attitude towards the clients data.

This is an opportunity for an experienced, determined & data-savvy hands-on Project Manager to work closely with my clients senior management to drive significant change across the business. The focus of this role will be on the data governance programme for a significant period, but the individual in this post will then drive other data-led projects which will help transform their business

Responsibilities -

-To drive the data governance programme (to be followed by others) and ensure that it takes effective and practical action in tight deadlines.

-To plan for, present at and chair meetings at Director level to ensure that data issues which are impacting them can be surfaced and buy-in gained for the relevant actions to be taken for them to be tackled.

-To ensure that all of their stakeholders are clearly kept up to date on a weekly basis, with any emerging issues flagged early.

-To personally drive the change that is decided upon, using charm, senior visibility or 'nagging' as appropriate to ensure that the relevant tasks are carried out

-Where reasonable, provide advice and guidance on issues relating to data protection / GDPR / data.

-An EDMS system is setup, with the documents from some key processes moved onto it, such that the documents are easy to find, securely held and version controlled to the satisfaction of the project board.

-To aid the data owners in tackling the root cause of identified data quality issues, helping to drive the change in the business which is necessary to fix the ongoing issue.
